<ul> <li>Functions as a team member in the provision of care to patients, collects data for assessment of physical, psychological, and social dimensions under the direction of the Registered Nurse. </li><li>Collects and records vital sign information, reporting abnormal findings to the R.N. Collects and tests specimens on urine, stool, finger stick blood glucose and records results. Completes Q.C.'s as required. </li><li>Performs phlebotomy, EKG's, Pulse Oximetry, and simple respiratory treatments without medication. </li><li>Observes, measures and records I&O. Performs Foley Cath/Care. </li><li>Assists patients with ADL's; personal hygiene, feeding, positioning, and ambulating. </li><li>Assists RN/MD with exams, surgical/procedural site preparation, and complex dressings. </li><li>Applies hot/cold packs, TED's, pneumatic boots, binders, splints, ace bandages, soft restraints, etc., according to policy and procedure. </li><li>Documents care appropriately. </li><li>Keeps responsible RN informed of patient's care and condition. </li><li>Performs other work-related duties and activities as assigned or requested.
