For more information, refer to Required Documents below.</p> <p>The Dayton, Ohio Veterans Affairs Medical Center is recruiting for a well-qualified Physiatrist, under direct administrative supervision of the PM&R Service Chief, expected to provide clinical services to patients in all PM&RS clinics. They specialize in medical rehabilitation and treatment to promote the health, independence, and quality of life for veterans.</p> <p>VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package. VHA Physician Total Rewards.</p> <p>Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases</p> <p>Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)</p> <p>Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA</p> <p>Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)</p> <p>Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory</p> <p>CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification)</p> <p>Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided</p> <p>Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting</p> <p>Duties include but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Diagnoses, treats, and directs a rehabilitation plan for individuals with painful and function-limiting musculoskeletal disorders of the spine, peripheral joints, and soft tissues such as sprains/strains, disc herniation's, rheumatologic conditions, degenerative, developmental, acquired, and traumatic neuromuscular conditions of the upper and lower limbs, spinal cord, and brain. </li><li>Experience with office-based injections such as joint injections, or ultrasound/EMG guided injections are preferred. </li><li>Provides support to PM&RS clinics including PMRS physician consults, amputee clinic, complex gait clinic, SCI, Pain and TBI / Polytrauma programs. </li><li>Collaborates with the Coordinators of the Polytrauma/TBI, amputee, and SCI programs, providing coverage for these clinics as needed. </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 0800 to 1630</p>
