No relocation assistance provided.</p> <p>United States / Bioproduction, Purification R&D, NPI/Customs</p> <p>Discover Impactful Work:</p> <p>We need a scientist for our Purification Business to help with new protein purification products.</p> <p>A Day in the Life:</p> <ul> <li>Develop new chromatographic purification solutions that meet customer specifications. </li><li>Implement statistical tools and design of experiments (DOE) to evaluate designs, optimize processes, and ensure new products meet quality attributes. </li><li>Perform analytical methods for surface characterization and assess material performance. </li><li>Design and synthesize new surface functions and bio-conjugation technologies for biomolecule purification solutions. </li><li>Draft process SOPs and collaborate with cross-functional groups to transfer processes into the manufacturing environment. </li></ul> <p>Keys to Success</p> <p>Education</p> <p>MS in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Science, or a related field with 1+ years of experience or BS degree with 3+ years of experience required.</p> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Laboratory experience in solid-phase functionalization, polymer chemistry, and/or bio-conjugation chemistry with DOE methodology required. </li><li>Proven track record of delivering projects on time. </li><li>Proven teamwork capabilities including data sharing, problem-solving, and collaboration. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Expertise in at least one of the following: solid-phase functionalization, polymer chemistry, bioconjugation, chromatography, or biomolecule purification. </li><li>Hands-on laboratory experience in organic/polymer chemistry. </li><li>Skilled in written and verbal communication, and in detailing and sharing experimental methods and findings. </li><li>Strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt experiments as needed. </li><li>Proficiency in characterization tools such as chromatography and spectroscopy. </li><li>Excellent prioritization skills and a positive attitude towards navigating ambiguity. </li></ul>
