Administers pre-surgery care by obtaining blood and urine specimens. Performs clerical functions.</p> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <p>Education and Work Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred </li><li>Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred </li><li>Experience in electrocardiogram (EKG): Preferred </li></ul> <p>Licenses/Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA certification: Preferred </li><li>Phlebotomy Certification: Preferred </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinates patient testing, instruction and record keeping with Pre-surgery Orientation team. </li><li>Obtains blood specimens via venipuncture or capillary punctures. Obtains urine specimens and insures delivery. </li><li>Assists with answering phones, filing, and faxing. Enters patient information from computer systems. </li><li>Maintains and cleans supplies needed for laboratory procedures and electrocardiogram (ECG.) </li><li>Performs other job-related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Organizational Requirements:</p> <p>Adventist Health is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our associates and patients.
