The Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center offers both inpatient and outpatient services, including several outreach centers as well as clinic- and community-based services.</p> <p>FLSA Status</p> <p>Exempt</p> <p>About the Prevention and Recovery Center (PARC)</p> <p>PARC CSC provides early screening, prevention and intervention services for individuals ages 14 to 35 who have experienced a first episode of psychosis within the past five years.</p> <p>PARC CSC provides comprehensive clinical services with multidisciplinary teams evaluating and addressing every participant's individual needs. Each team member completes training specific to first episode psychosis and adheres to the evidence-based OnTrack model of care.</p> <p>Three clinical teams serve program participants, with each comprised of a psychiatrist, psychologist, therapist, case manager, nurse, clinical pharmacist, supportive employment and education specialist, and a team lead. Additional staff provide outreach and educational services in the community and across the state of Indiana. The PARC CSC program aims to improve functioning, promote wellness and recovery, and ultimately improve outcomes for young people with psychotic disorders.</p> <p>https://www.eskenazihealth.edu/health-services/brain-center/parc</p> <p>Where You Fit In:</p> <p>The Licensed Therapist - CCBHC performs a variety of individual, family and group therapeutic interventions utilizing evidence-based practices ("EBP") specific to Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic ("CCBHC") certification. or</p> <p>o Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)</p> <ul> <li>Active and unencumbered clinical licensure in the State of Indiana (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC) </li><li>Valid Indiana driver's license that meets Eskenazi Health's driving policy requirements </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Embraces, understands, and operates under the Recovery Model, including AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank You) and the spirit of motivational interviewing </li><li>Adheres to the regulatory requirements for CCBHC regarding client treatment, including crisis prevention planning and crisis safety planning </li><li>Utilizing advanced certifications and skills in EBPs, delivers treatment to fidelity of therapeutic interventions and treatment models specific to the population served. </li><li>Prepares clinical treatment plans and completes biopsychosocial evaluation ("BPSE"), integrating information gathered by the team and developing the integrated diagnostic summary based upon the BPSE and in consultation with the client, family, treatment team. </li><li>Manages a caseload of clients by identifying therapeutic, rehabilitative and case management needs; engages other team members in meeting these needs as indicated; provides quality case management services as indicated by client need; monitors client progress and reflects this in the clinical documentation </li><li>Performs a variety of individual, family and group EBP therapeutic interventions utilizing EBPs specific to CCBHC certification </li><li>Evaluates and updates the treatment plan at intervals determined by guidelines, consulting with client family and team in this process </li><li>May provide care coordination, skills training and development to clients in group and individual settings as guided by medical necessity outlined in the person-centered treatment </li><li>Provides crisis management and emergency interventions including but not limited to cardiopulmonary resuscitation and approved area-specific crisis intervention techniques </li><li>Reports to treatment team in staffing including but not limited to successes and challenges, assessment of client progress, barriers to success, any level of care changes, etc. </li><li>Advocates for clients to ensure access to needed services which include developing community relationships and resources </li><li>Meets the agency's standard of providing the appropriate service at the right time, right place, and right frequency as determined by the client's level of need </li><li>Meets the agency's standard of timely completion of all documentation including interpreting and applying service and billing procedures according to client needs as well as completing billing according to guidelines for timeliness and accuracy </li><li>Serves as a clinical resource for less experienced staff </li><li>Establishes and maintains a safe environment at all times through on-going assessment of milieu/appointment environment and intervenes as indicated in person-centered treatment plan as well as by nursing or physician order </li><li>Identifies any high- risk client symptoms or circumstances that would result in risk for self-harm or harm to others and notifies appropriate higher level clinical staff for consultation </li><li>Continuously evaluates clients' mental status, reporting progress to the team and treating psychiatrist </li><li>Identifies community resources and assists clients in their access to these resources </li><li>Serves as a clinical resource for less experienced staff </li><li>Meets agency requirements for continuing education </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Advanced understanding of EBP </li><li>Ability to implement EBP to standards as defined by Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center </li><li>Understanding of and ability to implement a strengths-based, community treatment model </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills with ability to be both clear and concise in written and verbal communications </li><li>Advanced knowledge of psychiatric/addiction diagnoses and understanding of their impact on behavior and all life domains </li><li>Advanced knowledge of psychotropic medications and their uses and side effects </li><li>Demonstrates solid knowledge of psychiatric/addiction diagnosis and understands of their impact on behavior and all life domains </li><li>Demonstrates solid knowledge of psychotropic medications and their uses and side effects </li><li>Willingness and ability to work cooperatively in a multidisciplinary team </li><li>Ability to use developmentally appropriate communication skills </li><li>Ability to interpret and apply complex directives, information and regulations </li><li>Crisis intervention skills </li><li>Leadership and team building ability </li></ul> <p>Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center's primary mission is to serve individuals with serious mental illness and chronic addiction as well as seriously emotionally disturbed children and their families.
