<p>The General Accountant is responsible for the general accounting functions including monthly journal entries, financial reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting and sales analysis. Responsible for timely and accurate financial information as requested by the Plant Controller. Assist the plant in meeting their monthly closing deadlines. Provide support with NetSuite-related finance and accounting issues.</p> <p>Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Provide support to new product rollouts and payback analysis on capital projects </li><li>Actively partner with plant operations team and provide business analysis to drive operational excellence </li><li>Assist with compiling data for plant allocations, variable, and fixed costs by product line </li><li>Post transactions in NetSuite; including but not limited to, journal entries, allocations, inventory revaluation, and adjustments </li><li>Develop an in-depth understanding of duties in NetSuite at manufacturing location. </li><li>Assist with review of general ledger during financial closing for manufacturing location. </li><li>Assist in obtaining, reviewing, and assembling data for financial reports. </li><li>Identify, recommend improvements, and automate accounting functions in NETSUITE/offline processes. Document findings/areas of improvement/procedures. Eliminate manual processes when applicable. </li><li>Provide support to plant personnel on all NetSuite financial accounting issues </li><li>Review of plant accounts receivable, accounts payable functions </li><li>Compile data for sales analysis on all product lines </li><li>Prepare, analyze and complete monthly price audit at manufacturing location </li><li>Preparation and analysis of plant account reconciliations as needed </li><li>Assist with the plant portion of the budget and forecast preparation process </li><li>Perform general financial analysis as assigned </li><li>Seek continuous improvement in all areas related to accounting and financial reporting </li><li>Display exemplary professionalism in the workplace at all times </li><li>The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee; but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties and skills required.
