<p>The Insurance and Claims Counsel provides strategy, guidance and execution of executive line and cyber claims. Using legal background and expertise, this role stays apprised of current legal trends and provides consultation and advice to clients, Producers and internal teams. This position will be based in our San Francisco, CA, San Diego, CA, or Denver, CO office.</p> <p>Position responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for handling large volume of executive line claims, including D&O, E&O, Cyber, Crime, and Employment Practices. Responsibilities include: </li></ul> <p>o Guide clients through claims process and assist with accessing carrier resources</p> <p>o Analyze coverage and oversee and ensure timely reporting of claims</p> <p>o Respond to coverage issues, strategize, and advocate effectively on behalf of Lockton clients</p> <p>o Advise and consult with clients and internal constituents on coverage issues concerning executive line and cyber claims</p> <p>o Advise and consult with clients about the claim process and potential insurance solutions</p> <ul> <li>Review executive line and cyber policies and specific wording for coverage gaps and potential issues, consult with clients and internal constituents regarding same </li><li>Research current trends in law that pertain to executive and cyber line space and our clients' insurance programs </li><li>Draft whitepapers and other educational presentations concerning executive and cyber lines </li><li>Accumulate required continuing educational credits to maintain current insurance and legal license </li><li>Represent Lockton at client meetings and external events </li><li>Prepare written correspondence, analyses, reports and memos as needed </li><li>Make a positive contribution to customer satisfaction and constantly strive to improve service to the customer </li><li>Communicates in a positive manner to contribute to a cohesive, pleasant work environment </li><li>Protect the confidentiality of information learned by performing the duties of the position; reinforce the importance of confidentiality of information to all department associates </li><li>Performs other job-related duties as assigned </li></ul>
