An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications Job Description Summary</p> <p>The University of South Alabama's Registrar's Office is seeking to hire a Credentials & Degree Analyst II. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <p>These are the job duties required of the position.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Assists in all aspects and phases of graduation and commencement. </li><li>Codes graduation applications in Banner. </li><li>Verifies graduation check sheets and analyzes degree requirements in accordance with the University Bulletin. </li><li>Notifies students who do not graduate. </li><li>Runs degree audits. </li><li>Processes program changes, name changes, and address changes in Banner. </li><li>Shares responsibility for scanning, indexing, and verifying academic records related to graduation using the Xtender software. </li><li>Adds approved comments to transcripts. </li><li>Receives and processes requests for reissued diplomas. </li><li>Answers questions from students and administrators. </li><li>Assists in commencement activities to include participating during the ceremony. </li><li>Assists with the preparation of reports and student records for commencement exercises. </li><li>Maintains inventory of commencement supplies, orders supplies as needed, and labels packages for delivery/pickup. </li><li>Prepares commencement labels, signs, handouts, parking passes and name tags for faculty and staff. </li><li>Assists with meetings for commencement volunteers </li><li>Interacts by phone, letter, e-mail, or in person with faculty, staff, parents, and students. </li><li>Adheres to student confidentiality rights as legislated by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974 in handling academic regs and responding to third party requests. </li><li>Assists at the front desk as required. </li><li>Attends special events that may require working nights and weekends. </li><li>Submits paperwork for payment of invoices as needed. </li><li>Regular and prompt attendance. </li><li>Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime hours as required. </li><li>Related duties as required. </li></ul> <p>Posting Information</p> <p>Number of Vacancies 1 Position End Date (if temporary) Job Open Date 05/03/2025 Job Close Date Open Until Filled Yes Special Instructions to Applicants Working Days Monday - Friday Working Hours 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Job Location Main Campus Full-time or Part-Time Full Time Regular or Temporary Regular</p>
