<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Empire State University is seeking a candidate for a full-time Facility Operations Assistant 1 to work in our Saratoga Springs location.</p> <p>The Facility Operations Assistant 1 will perform a variety of routine unskilled and semiskilled manual tasks related to the operation and maintenance of buildings and facilities, surrounding grounds and vehicles and equipment used in maintaining these sites.</p> <p>Duties of this position will include the following:</p> <ul> <li>Perform routine custodial cleaning of offices, classrooms, restrooms, hallways and common areas </li><li>Sweep, mop, vacuum and wash floors and carpets </li><li>Clean and disinfect restrooms and other high-touch surfaces </li><li>Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables </li><li>Set up, move and rearrange furniture, equipment and materials as needed </li><li>Lock and unlock buildings as directed </li><li>Operate cleaning and maintenance equipment </li><li>Perform seasonal snow removal </li><li>Assistant with general exterior and groundskeeping tasks </li><li>Conduct light maintenance tasks </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Applicants must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and be able to understand and carry out written or oral instructions.</p> <p>Work Hours:</p> <p>Monday - Friday 11:00am - 7:00pm</p> <p>Special Information: Must possess a valid NYS driver's license</p> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Salary: $36,232 - $44,828</p> <p>Empire State University is an Equal Opportunity Employer.</p> <p>IF YOU NEED A DISABILITY-RELATED ACCOMMODATION, PLEASE CALL THE AFFIRMATIVE ACTION OFFICER AT (518) 587-2100.
