<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Coastal Empire Community Mental Health Center, 1050 Ribaut Rd., Beaufort, SC 29902.</p> <p>The Office of Mental Health's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses. We provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.</p> <p>As the Clinic Director, working under general supervision of the Chief of Clinical Operations, you will plan, implement, coordinate, and supervise the daily operations and delivery of both clinical services in the Beaufort clinical and administrative services in the Beaufort clinic. Develop and oversee service process in the clinic. Act as the face of the clinic for the clinic coverage area.</p> <p>Responsibilities for the Beaufort Clinic Director:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise the daily administrative & clinical operations of the Beaufort Clinic. Assures available patient services are provided, managed, tracked, & billed appropriately. Identifies areas of process improvement, including specialized reports & patient access that result in the improvement of services. Responsible for coordinating extended hours for Beaufort Clinic. Directly supervises the Administrative Assistant- Supervisor. Coordinates with the Coordinator of CAF services as needed in relation to the oversight & support for delivery of CAF services. Coordinates with Access/MC lead & Director of Emergency & Community Based Services as it relates to development, oversight & delivery of Access/MC services for the Beaufort Clinic. Coordinates with Psychiatric Medical Director & Nursing Supervisor as it relates to oversight, processes, scheduling, & delivery of medical services in the Beaufort Clinic. Acts as program director for FEP Model Program, ensuring fidelity. </li><li>Recruit & supervise personnel in Clinical services & administrative support services, either directly or indirectly for the Beaufort Clinic. Yearly evaluations & regular supervision are provided to all directly supervised clinical & administrative support staff. Clinical supervision is provided regularly to all directly supervised staff. </li><li>Communicate regularly with representatives of public & private mental health, medical, & social services organizations & agencies in the community to assure the delivery of quality services to mutual patients & to educate the community on our services. Participates in opportunities to meet with both professionals & members of the community to share pertinent information about Coastal Empire Community Mental Health Center & the services offered. Coordinates with other lead staff in the Beaufort Clinic to assure these functions are occurring & maintained. </li><li>Assure Clinical Services are provided, billed & documented in adherence to expectations & QA standards. Provides direct service as needed/appropriated to ensure patient care is delivered within needs/standards. </li><li>Ensure continuity of care within clinic programs, between community programs, & with hospitals as specified in the OMH Continuity of Care Manual. </li><li>Ensures the clinic as well as supervised staff are in conformance with OMH Corporate Compliance requirements & guidelines. </li></ul> <p>This position MAY be eligible for SCOMH Student Loan Repayment to cover some of the cost of your outstanding loan(s) balance associated with the completion of a healthcare degree that is relevant to the appliable position.</p> <p>Coastal Empire CMHC is an approved site of the National Health Service Corps (NHSC), which offers student loan repayment of up to $50,000.00 to employees of NHSC- approved sites. You must be a US Citizen, you must be licensed to practice independently in the state where you are hired and you must have unpaid government or commercial school loans. There is a two year service commitment required as well. Confirmation of qualifying for this loan repayment program is the responsibility of every applicant - we cannot guarantee your qualification.</p> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <ul> <li>A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience. </li><li>Master's Degree in a social science and 2 years of social service program experience. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Applicants with an LPC or LPC-S Licensure is highly desirable. </li><li>;Four ( 4) years experience, one (1) year of which must have been in a community mental health program. </li><li>Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus. </li></ul> <p>Additional Comments</p> <p>Post hire, employees must:</p> <ul> <li>Be able to complete Managing Agitation in the Psychiatric Setting (MAPS) certification. </li><li>Have thorough knowledge of principles and practices of mental social treatment services for the mentally ill. </li><li>Have knowledge of administrative practice procedures, rules, regulations, policies and standards. </li><li>Have the ability to plan, develop and direct local programs for mental health care and operation of the clinic. </li><li>Have the ability to supervise mental health professionals and non-professional staff. </li><li>Be able to travel as needed/appropriate. </li></ul> <p>The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions including, but not limited, to lactation), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information.</p> <p>Supplemental questions are considered part of your official application.
