<p>Title: Christiansburg Site Manager (Full-Time)</p> <p>Agency: New River Community College</p> <p>Location: Pulaski - 155</p> <p>FLSA: Nonexempt</p> <p>Hiring Range: $44,193-$54,193 (Dependent on qualifications and previous work experience).</p> <p>Full Time or Part Time: Full Time</p> <p>Additional Detail</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>New River Community College is a two-year state institution of higher education operating under a statewide system of 23 community colleges. The college is located on a one-hundred plus acre site at the intersection of U.S. Routes 11 and 100 in Dublin, Virginia. The campus provides modern, well-equipped facilities for the career technical education programs as well as for the college transfer programs. Approximately 4,000 students comprise the student body.</p> <p>The people employed by New River Community College promote the philosophy that all individuals should have an opportunity to develop and extend their skills and knowledge to increase awareness of their roles and duties as citizens. The college serves the educational needs of the public and assumes a duty to help provide the requirements for trained workers in the region through a combined effort with local industry, business, professions, and government. The college promotes equal opportunity for prospective students and employees.</p> <p>Duties: This position will have responsibility for coordinating daily operations of the NRCC Christiansburg site. Primary duties will include hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising part-time staff; coordinating the scheduling of rooms with the academic deans; assisting the Workforce Development program in meeting the needs of business and industry; managing a budget; ensuring accountability in supporting distance education classes and testing services; coordinating services to support student registration, financial aid, and student activities; compiling data and maintaining accurate records to ensure delivery of the same high quality services as provided at the NRCC campus in Dublin; performing other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Evidence of well-developed skills in:</p> <ul> <li>Organization and management of routine daily responsibilities </li><li>Oral and written communication </li><li>Budget management </li><li>Problem solving with ability to take independent action within procedural guidelines </li><li>Staff supervision and team management </li><li>Understanding of and commitment to mission of community college and student success. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students in a team-oriented environment. </li><li>Ability to work flexibly and effectively in a public-facing role </li><li>Proficiency in use of technology such as Microsoft Office and Google docs. </li></ul> <p>Additional Considerations:</p> <p>Additional factors that may be considered include:</p> <ul> <li>Working knowledge of software such as Peoplesoft, Navigate, Canvas or similar software packages. </li><li>Understanding of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) in post-secondary education. </li><li>Demonstrated experience overseeing proctored test environments. </li></ul>
