<p>SCHEDULE: PRN VARIED SHIFTS AS NEEDED</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>The MRI Technologist operates the magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.</p> <p>Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Graduate of 24 month AMA approved School of Radiology Technology or accredited by JRCERT </li><li>ARRT certification in Radiology. </li><li>Must be registered to take ARRT MR Certification within 18 months of beginning training or completion of classes and/or acceptable clinical hours and exams. </li><li>Iowa licensure (Permit to Practice) highly preferred </li><li>Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required. New employees certify within three (3) months after hire date. </li><li>Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. </li><li>High degree of empathetic listening, tact and kindness toward others. </li><li>Ability to communicate well verbally. Must work effectively as a member of a team. </li><li>Strong computer knowledge </li><li>Technical skills associated with duties listed within this job description. Must be competent in all assigned areas. </li><li>Willingness to complete further radiographic education or certification as required by the department. </li><li>Must demonstrate leadership and effective communication skills as required for this position. </li></ul>
