<p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Freezer Lead plays a key role in coordinating daily workflow, training, and troubleshooting within a multi-temperature warehouse environment - including freezer areas at or below 0°F. This position ensures productivity goals are met, fosters a positive and respectful team environment, and supports operational excellence through hands-on leadership.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Coordinate daily workflow, training, and problem-solving for associates in a cold storage/freezer environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor productivity using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other reports to ensure goals, deadlines, and accuracy standards are met.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide timely, constructive feedback to associates individually and in group settings.</p> </li><li> <p>Lead start-up meetings and communicate departmental updates.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in updating processes, training materials, and documentation.</p> </li><li> <p>Promote employee retention by fostering a respectful, motivated, and solution-focused workplace.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform manual labor and work on the production floor during non-peak periods as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure compliance with all safety, security, and SQF (Safe Quality Food) requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform additional duties and support other departments as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>High school diploma or equivalent required.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a warehouse, distribution, or similar environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.</p> </li><li> <p>Basic math skills and ability to read and follow labels, processes, and instructions.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with WMS and SAP preferred.</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to work in a cold storage environment (-10°F to 40°F).</p> </li><li> <p>Lift up to 30 lbs. continuously and 50 lbs. occasionally.</p> </li><li> <p>Walk and stand for 8-10 hours per shift.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to stoop, kneel, crawl, and climb as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>High school diploma or equivalent.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a warehouse, distribution, or production environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work in cold storage/freezer conditions (-10°F to 40°F).</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with peers, management, and frontline employees.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in reading and following labels, processes, and instructions.</p> </li><li> <p>Basic math skills for inventory, tracking, and productivity reporting.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); SAP experience preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to lift 30 lbs. continuously and 50 lbs. occasionally.</p> </li><li> <p>Willingness to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crawl, and climb for extended periods during an 8-10 hour shift.</p> </li></ul>
