<p>Job Description</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>The Corporate (Business) Development and Transaction Specialist will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth through strategic transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships. This position involves a comprehensive approach to identifying and evaluating potential opportunities, conducting thorough due diligence, and structuring and negotiating transactions. The Corporate (Business) Development and Transaction Specialist will work closely with the VP of Strategy and Business Development and the Executive Director of Strategic Partnerships as well as with leadership across the system to align transaction strategies with the company's overall strategic goals and objectives. The position will track, monitor, and leverage market intelligence and industry research to make informed decisions that drive strategic growth and enhance the company's competitive advantage. This role requires a blend of financial acumen, strategic thinking, and strong interpersonal skills to navigate complex negotiations and build relationships with key stakeholders and will be expected to work autonomously, exercise initiative and balanced judgment.</p> <p>Core responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Works autonomously to lead and complete business development projects and deals/transactions, including related recommendations (types of deals/transactions; joint ventures, acquisitions, affiliations, divestitures). </li><li>Leads the development and assessment of the financial analysis and modeling </li><li>Serves as key project manager for multiple projects , coordinating across various departments such as legal, finance and operations to ensure seamless execution of transaction items. </li><li>Leads development of business development presentations and communication materials to ensure appropriate knowledge sharing throughout the deal process. </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to compile and draw conclusions on data analysis, market trends, financial reports to drive effective decision making and recommendations </li><li>Ability to lead development of financial modeling </li><li>Lead multiple projects and effectively coordinate with various team members and departments </li><li>Apply critical thinking skills and manage problem resolution, seeking guidance when necessary </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills to lead, build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and colleagues, along with key system leader relationships, including raising risks, concerns and encouraging diverse perspectives to influence decision making </li><li>Proficiency in implementing and using advanced software tools for data analysis, financial modeling, and project management resulting in final products that are put forth to business owners, in particular Excel and PowerPoint </li></ul> <p>At IU Health, your personal and professional growth is a top priority.
