<p>As a substitute, you would be expected to support the role on an as-needed basis, while adhering to the overall objectives of the program</p> <p>Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Will teach each three-week session on Career and Life Development, High-Performance Skills, Mobile Technology, and Financial Literacy </li><li>Develop and monitor Curriculum, syllabi, and Lesson Plans, teaming with CLD Department Head </li><li>Collaborate with other faculty to integrate information literacy competencies throughout the teaching and learning process </li><li>Present enthusiastic, well-prepared, organized lectures and interactive classroom activities consistent with the course syllabus </li><li>Be familiar with college accrediting bodies and compliance as it pertains to the CLD program </li><li>Model ethical and responsible use of information and information technology </li><li>Implement and model the College mission, and CARES philosophy, incorporating professional and ethical standards </li><li>Create and maintain an inviting classroom environment on-ground and online </li><li>Maintain respect at all times for confidential information </li><li>Maintain 90% or higher on course evaluations </li><li>Maintain 88% or higher on quarterly student satisfaction surveys </li><li>Maintain an 85% retention rate </li><li>Interact in a positive manner with staff, students, faculty, and the public </li><li>Promote good public relations through personal appearance, attitude, and conversation </li><li>Other duties that may be assigned by the Department Head and/or President </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Worker Characteristics:</p> <ul> <li>Strategic planning, goal setting, and evaluation </li><li>Dynamic public speaking ability </li><li>Maintain a working knowledge of Transcript/Canvas </li><li>Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications </li><li>Organizational skills, being proactive, creative and self-driven </li><li>Interpersonal skills and ability to build and foster relationships </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Ability to handle multiple tasks and demands </li><li>Ability to analyze data and think strategically </li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality of information </li><li>Ability to work with a diverse student population </li></ul> <p>High-Performance Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Maintains a high-performance environment characterized by a strong team </li><li>Defines goals and/or required results at the beginning of the performance period </li><li>Communicates regularly with other staff toward defined goals and or required results. Self-motivated to improve quantity and quality of work performed and participates in training and development opportunities as appropriate </li></ul>
