<p>Acts on behalf of the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) Office of Career-Technical Education (CTE) to provide guidance, coordination, and support to stakeholders for the implementation of high-quality components of work-based learning, pre-apprenticeship, and apprenticeship programs according to the Federal Perkins Act which includes but is not limited to the following tasks:</p> <ul> <li>Research innovative approaches to work-based learning, pre-apprenticeship, and apprenticeship programs that increase participation and alignment with local, regional, and state in-demand jobs; </li><li>Support schools and districts in alignment of work-based learning opportunities to students' graduation plans; </li><li>Support districts in the development of new, innovative, and restructured career exploration, work-based learning, pre-apprenticeship, and apprenticeship programs; </li><li>Assist districts in establishing partnership with key community organizations; </li><li>Assist with the implementation of state business advisory committee/councils; </li><li>Provide technical assistance to districts including but not limited to standards alignment for work related programs, awarding credit, and utilizing credit flex polices; </li><li>Assist with curriculum development of career technical education and academic applied learning approaches; </li><li>Establishes partnership linkages with key organizations; and </li><li>Collaborates with other agencies, departments, and interagency work-based learning, pre-apprenticeship, and apprenticeship initiatives. </li></ul> <p>Provide guidance, coordination, and support to stakeholders for the implementation of high-quality programs of study according to section 124 of the Federal Perkins Act which includes but is not limited to the following tasks:</p> <ul> <li>Provides technical assistance to school district personnel (e.g., integrating content standards into curriculum, Program of Study development/implementation): </li><li>Plans and provides professional development activities and technical assistance communication for administrators and educators; </li><li>Plans and designs strategies to support the implementation of new program models; </li><li>Serves as liaison to seven Regional Centers that assist school districts, Ohio Technical Centers and colleges in developing meaningful programs of study; </li><li>Serves as a liaison to professional associations; </li><li>Reviews and analyzes program performance data. </li></ul> <p>The work location of this position is 25 South Front Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215. You will be required to report to this work location full-time, if selected.</p> <p>If this position is filled with an internal employee who has an approved telework agreement, the employee may be required to report in-person during the initial training period.</p> <p>Minimum qualification of 72 months combined experience in the following:</p> <ul> <li>Career-Technical Education program development and/or Career-Technical Education program administration. </li><li>Educational counseling or career advising in middle school, high school, and/or postsecondary related to career-technical education and/or career connected learning. </li><li>Curriculum coordination - overseeing curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation of middle school, high school, and/or postsecondary for career-technical education and/or career connected learning. </li></ul> <p>Job Skills: Educational support</p>
