<p>What to Expect</p> <p>As a Tool Install General Foreman, you will lead field crews in the safe, precise rigging, offloading, placement, anchoring, and hookup of heavy process tools and equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This hands-on supervisory role demands expertise in heavy rigging and material handling, combined with strong leadership to coordinate multi-trade efforts, ensure zero-damage installations, and support production uptime. The position is physically demanding, involving extended hours (potential 6-day weeks, holidays, shutdowns, or emergencies), work in production/cleanroom areas (indoor/outdoor), occasional wet conditions, and flexibility with schedule changes.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead and supervise rigging crews for equipment offloading, heavy lifting, precise placement, anchoring/securing, and initial tool line setups (e.g., process lines, supports, and connections) on construction and tool installation projects</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee daily field operations: equipment offloading/unloading from trucks/trailers, rigging setup (slings, chains, hoists, cranes), material distribution, tool/equipment movement, anchoring, leveling, and execution of tasks (including cross-trade or adaptive work as required)</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate project expectations, lift plans, safety protocols, and updates from management to the field team; uphold high standards of workmanship in a safety-first culture</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct and document PTPs, hazard assessments (especially rigging-related), pre-lift planning, and ensure full compliance with Tesla standards, and industry best practices for heavy equipment handling</p> </li><li> <p>Utilize rigging gear, hand/power tools, mobile equipment (forklifts, cranes, skates, jacks, training/certifications provided); interpret rigging plans, isometric drawings, P&IDs, and layout documents</p> </li><li> <p>Plan and oversee safe lifts, align/level/anchor machinery and tools, dismantle/store rigging after use</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate closely with construction management, 3rd party vendors, other trades, and production teams to execute lifts, minimize production disruptions, and deliver installations on schedule with high quality and safety</p> </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring</p> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in rigging, equipment offloading, machinery moving/anchoring, tool installation, or similar industrial/construction trades (semiconductor, fab, manufacturing preferred)</p> </li><li> <p>Current OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain immediately); rigging-specific certifications (e.g., NCCCO, NCCER, or equivalent) a strong plus</p> </li><li> <p>Proven expertise in rigging practices: selecting/inspecting gear, load calculations, lift planning, safe offloading, precise placement/anchoring of heavy/sensitive equipment, and tool line preparations</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to read and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, rigging/lift plans, and construction documents; proficiency with Navisworks, Bluebeam, Excel, or similar tools preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Strong job site safety knowledge, including rigging hazards, pre-task planning, and zero-incident mindset; commitment to evaluating risks and leading safe operations</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (English fluency required, written and verbal) for collaborating with management, vendors, trades, and crews at all levels</p> </li><li> <p>Leadership experience supervising diverse crews, delegating tasks, resolving issues proactively, and performing/adapting beyond core rigging competencies while ensuring quality, precision, and schedule adherence</p> </li></ul> <p>Compensation and Benefits</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire:</p> <ul> <li>Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction </li><li>Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits </li><li>Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution </li><li>Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA </li><li>Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) </li><li>401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits </li><li>Company paid Basic Life, AD&D </li><li>Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) </li><li>Employee Assistance Program </li><li>Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays </li><li>Back-up childcare and parenting support resources </li><li>Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance </li><li>Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs </li><li>Tesla Babies program </li><li>Commuter benefits </li><li>Employee discounts and perks program </li></ul> <p>Tesla is an Equal Opportunity employer.
