<p>Job Title: Electromagnetic Engineer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The Electrical Engineer (EE) will lead the electromagnetic design for assigned projects, focusing on high-speed permanent magnet alternators and motors. The role involves utilizing both in-house and commercial design software for lumped parameter calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as necessary. The EE will collaborate with design functions such as mechanical and design/drafting and coordinate the electromagnetic design with power electronics and regulators.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform electromagnetic design analyses and calculations. </li><li>Prepare and deliver analysis results to large audiences. </li><li>Interpret and clarify customer technical expectations. </li><li>Collaborate with the Engineering Team to achieve internal cost targets and establish cost objectives. </li><li>Define and uphold technical compliance with customer requirements. </li><li>Adhere to project schedules and meet deadlines. </li><li>Coordinate technical design efforts with resources, including Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, and integrated product teams. </li><li>Draft technical proposals and present technical details to customers. </li><li>Generate comprehensive design and analysis reports. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Experience in electromagnetic design and electrical engineering. </li><li>Proficiency in electromagnetic analysis software such as ANSYS and Motor-CAD. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college with a foundation in electromagnetic design. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with FEA and EMAG design analysis. </li><li>Ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external customer organizations, including upper management. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. </li><li>Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. </li><li>Established project management skills. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The work environment offers the flexibility to work remotely for 2 days a week. The role involves regular interaction with various design functions and requires coordination with different departments. The position necessitates strong communication and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.</p> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract position based out of Norwich, NY.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $62.50/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
