In this role, you will be responsible for all environmental, health and safety programs at Nixon Power Services including regulatory compliance, program development, report generation and submittal and more! You will provide on-site expertise for all EHS matters to prevent and eliminate injury and illness to team members.</p> <p>Our ideal candidate is a hands-on, self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent communication and leadership skills, and can partner across departments to ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient workplace.</p> <p>What you'll be doing:</p> <ul> <li>Develop process/strategy for EHS programs and initiative. </li><li>Ensures compliance with related federal, state, and local laws and regulations. </li><li>Collaborate with functional team leads and work to establish business partnership. </li><li>Monitor effectiveness of EHS programs, training, and procedures within the organization </li><li>Provide leadership, guidance, and program consultation in the interpretation and application of safety programs, policies, and procedures. </li><li>Analyze incident/accident data to identify specific trends and hazardous conditions that require an in-depth analysis and development and/or implementation of policy revision. </li><li>Regularly communicate with business line management on EHS performance and initiatives. </li><li>Ensure compliance with all Customer Safety Portals (Avetta, ISNetworld, etc.). </li><li>Ensure all documentation is complete for any Recordable Incidents, and when necessary, Near Miss Incidents. </li><li>Execute NFPA 70E Training and ensure compliance. </li><li>Partner with Human Resources to ensure compliance with all EHS documentation. </li><li>Lead the Strategic Safety Council and ensure Safety Committees are established and lead at each service center with local leadership teams. </li><li>Conduct regular Field Safety Audits with Technicians. </li><li>Partner with Nixon's Risk Management partners, as needed. </li><li>Other duties assigned. </li></ul> <p>What we're looking for:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 3-5 years of EHS related experience in a manufacturing/distribution/service environment. </li><li>Strong ability to lead, persuade, motivate, and influence others. </li><li>Extensive knowledge of OHSA/EPA regulations and violations. </li><li>Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively with strong attention to detail. </li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. </li><li>Strong organizational skills. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Suite of programs. </li><li>Excellent customer service skills. </li></ul> <p>What's in it for you?</p> <ul> <li>Competitive compensation package </li><li>Full Benefits: Medical, Vision, Dental, and more! </li><li>Paid Time Off </li><li>401(k) matching </li><li>Opportunity to get in with an industry leading organization </li><li>Team-oriented culture </li></ul>
