<p>NESS SEA AmeriCorps Member</p> <p>New England Science & Sailing Foundation will have 10 AmeriCorps members serving as STEM Educators. STEM Educators will provide STEM-based programs and classroom and field support to students in grades K-12 in CT. The NESS SEA AmeriCorps program provides STEM-based ocean-adventure learning programs and social-emotional mentoring to underserved students, using marine science, adventure sports, and sailing as educational platforms. PROVIDE student support through classroom support & mentoring. MENTOR students to encourage Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) goals. EMPOWER students to discover their personal best by facing new challenges. SHARE enjoyment of the ocean and teach its science to students from all backgrounds.
