We have courses covering various subjects in marketing, including written business communication, professional presentations, digital marketing, and professional sales. We will hire based on the need we have from semester to semester to cover courses. Adjuncts shall perform some or all of the following duties:</p> <p>Summary of Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Plans, prepares, and follows an approved course of study that includes measurable objectives for each course taught.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares instructional materials (course outlines, syllabi, exams, etc.) as necessary.</p> </li><li> <p>Instructs, manages, and supervises students in classrooms and computer labs using appropriate teaching methods.</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluates instruction and learning by means of appropriate testing methods and in consultation with full-time faculty.</p> </li><li> <p>Works closely with an assigned full-time faculty member to ensure academic standards, department standards, and course/program outcomes are met in each class taught.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains a student-oriented approach to education.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates engaged and/or service-learning work experience programs with students as assigned.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists counselors, department chairperson, and or program coordinator, faculty, and department staff in maintaining an effective program.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <p>Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution and 1-3 years of professional experience.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Master's degree or higher.</p> <p>Knowledge / Skills / Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of subject matter and course content of classes to be taught, instructional strategies and techniques. </li><li>Knowledge of student management, motivation, and evaluation. </li><li>Knowledge of effective human relations skills and communication techniques. </li><li>Ability to apply effectively general principles to specific conditions. </li><li>Ability to work effectively with people. </li></ul> <p>EEO Statement:</p> <p>UVU employment decisions are made on the basis of an applicant's qualifications and ability to perform the job without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age (40 and over), disability, veteran status, pregnancy, childbirth, or pregnancy-related conditions, genetic information, or other bases protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.</p>
