<p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential</p> <p>duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skill, and/or ability</p> <p>required.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Safety & Compliance</p> <ul> <li>Ensure full compliance with all HPSI safety rules and regulations. </li><li>Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable OSHA and ANSI standards. </li><li>Partner with HSE to coordinate, schedule, and document safety-related training initiatives. </li><li>Ensure proper documentation for all operator certifications and recertifications. </li></ul> <p>Training Program Leadership</p> <ul> <li>Lead new hire orientation and onboarding programs. </li><li>Deliver training and certification for powered industrial equipment, including: </li></ul> <p>o Aerial work platforms and scissor lifts</p> <p>o Overhead cranes</p> <p>o Basic rigging and hand signals</p> <p>o Forklifts and warehouse equipment</p> <p>o Fire watch procedures</p> <ul> <li>Facilitate train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts. </li></ul> <p>Curriculum Development & Scheduling</p> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and update training courses and educational materials. </li><li>Maintain companywide training schedules; ensure timely communication of dates, times, and </li></ul> <p>locations.</p> <ul> <li>Research and implement innovative training methods and technologies. </li></ul> <p>Recordkeeping & Reporting</p> <ul> <li>Maintain and update companywide training records, including sign-ins, evaluations, and test </li></ul> <p>results.</p> <ul> <li>Oversee training facilities, equipment, and instructional resources. </li></ul> <p>External Representation & Professional Development</p> <ul> <li>Represent the company at external training events, meetings, and seminars. </li><li>Travel occasionally for professional development opportunities. </li></ul> <p>Additional Duties</p> <ul> <li>Perform other related tasks as assigned. </li></ul> <p>COMPETENCIES</p> <ul> <li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail. </li><li>Proficient to advanced computer skills, including expertise in PowerPoint for training program </li></ul> <p>design.</p> <ul> <li>Strong decision-making, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and stress management capabilities. </li><li>Proven ability to work collaboratively as an effective team member. </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTY</p> <p>No Supervisory Responsibility</p> <p>EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>Associates or Bachelor's degree in a Safety or Environmental program highly desired, but not </li></ul> <p>required.</p> <ul> <li>A minimum of three (3) years' related work experience in a construction company or similar </li></ul> <p>environment.</p> <ul> <li>Prior experience as an instructor/trainer required. </li><li>Working knowledge of OSHA training regulations a plus but not required. </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in operating and training operators on high </li></ul> <p>reach lifts, scissor lifts, shop overhead cranes, and forklifts.</p> <ul> <li>Possession of, or ability to obtain, relevant trainer certifications for aerial work platforms, </li></ul> <p>forklifts, and overhead cranes preferred.</p> <ul> <li>Experience in construction safety and/or practical experience as a safety coordinator role that </li></ul> <p>included conducting training courses is preferred.</p> <ul> <li>MS Office experience required, including working knowledge with designing training courses in </li></ul> <p>PowerPoint.</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of LMS systems (Safety Skills, BizLibrary, LinkedIn Learning, Ultipro) a plus. </li><li>Bilingual English and Spanish a plus. </li></ul> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT</p> <p>Work may be conducted indoors or outdoors and may involve exposure to adverse weather conditions.</p> <p>When not engaged in training coordination duties, this position will also support general HSE functions,</p> <p>including conducting safety inspections, participating as a member of the emergency response team,</p> <p>performing confined space testing, issuing hot work permits, and other related responsibilities aligned</p> <p>with the HSE Coordinator role.</p> <ul> <li>Hanwha Philly Shipyard is a TOBACCO-FREE facility. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <p>The physical demands outlined below are representative of those required to successfully perform the</p> <p>essential functions of this role. While this position is not directly involved in production activities, the</p> <p>candidate must have the physical capability to operate effectively in an industrial environment. This</p> <p>includes sufficient range of motion to lift, carry, bend, climb, work at heights and in confined spaces, walk</p> <p>or stand for extended periods, and meet the medical requirements for wearing a respirator or SCBA.</p> <p>Employment is contingent upon passing a medical examination. Reasonable accommodations will be</p> <p>considered to support individuals with disabilities in performing the essential duties of the position.</p> <p>POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK</p> <p>This is a full-time, on-site, safety-sensitive position. Standard workdays and hours are determined by</p> <p>departmental schedules and may vary accordingly.
