<p>Overview</p> <p>ABOUT THE POSITION</p> <p>Structural Bridge Engineer | Providence, RI | Hybrid</p> <p>Join VHB's dynamic Rhode Island Structural Team as a Structural Bridge Engineer and be a part of our expanding and innovative group! This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse and impactful bridge projects across Rhode Island and New England. Utilize state-of-the-art tools and technologies to design and develop digital models of bridges, contributing to transformative infrastructure solutions. Discover more about our pioneering Structures practice at VHB: Bridge and Structures Engineering | VHB</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform structural modeling and design of highway, pedestrian and railroad bridges and other structures </li><li>Create plans and digital models of the bridges and highway bridge approaches </li><li>Perform bridge inspections </li><li>Develop construction cost estimates </li><li>Prepare contract documents </li><li>Review fabrication drawings and provide construction plan reviews </li></ul> <p>Skills and Attributes</p> <ul> <li>Strong technical skills in bridge/structural design </li><li>Experience developing design reports, plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates </li><li>Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills </li><li>Self-motivated and commitment to learning </li><li>Excellent attention to detail </li><li>Training and mentoring skills </li><li>Effective and comfortable in a highly collaborative team environment </li><li>AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and varied structural design software experience a strong plus </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field of study (structural emphasis preferred) </li><li>5-8 years of professional structural/transportation/bridge design experience required (master's degree may substitute for 1 year of experience) </li><li>PE license required or ability to obtain within 6 months. </li><li>Successful completion of NHI Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges training a plus </li><li>Familiarity with structural modeling/engineering software is a plus </li></ul> <p>The base salary range for this position is $97,000.00-$119,000.00. This offer is determined based on several job-related factors including internal comparators, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, and geographic location.</p> <p>We are VHB!
