<p>The Company:</p> <p>Hearts & Science has been inspired by confident marketers seeking business advantage in a world of personalized digital marketing, where CRM and addressable channels converge, and decisions must be made in real time to aggregate effective reach and deliver the right message at the right time.</p> <p>Designed to inform brand strategies with real-time insights, Hearts & Science is a data-driven marketing agency with expert media planning and buying capabilities, among other services that include shopper marketing, marketing innovation and content activation.</p> <p>Sr. Associate, SEO</p> <p>We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual with baseline SEO experience and a passion for digital media, who is eager to learn and grow within the SEO space. This role offers the opportunity to work on enterprise-level clients in an increasingly AI-enabled landscape, contributing directly to innovative SEO strategies and optimization initiatives.</p> <p>The Role:</p> <p>As a Sr. Associate, SEO, you will play a key role in both content strategy and technical optimization for enterprise clients. You will conduct keyword and competitive research, create and optimize content, audit existing pages, and implement on-page SEO improvements. This role also involves analyzing technical site performance, identifying gaps and opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure strategies are aligned across digital channels. You will support the Associate Director in strategy execution and project management, assist in mentoring and managing junior team members, and contribute to client-facing recommendations. Additionally, you will help drive initiatives to enhance AI-driven search visibility and overall organic performance.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Support client teams in developing and executing SEO strategies and content programs that meet business objectives. </li><li>Create client-facing presentations and documentation to communicate project value, strategy, and recommended actions. </li><li>Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, and content audits to identify opportunities for optimization. </li><li>Produce and implement SEO-focused content, ensuring alignment with brand voice and user intent. </li><li>Optimize on-page elements, including title tags, meta descriptions, header structures, and internal linking to improve organic rankings. </li><li>Conduct page-level and technical SEO audits, providing actionable recommendations for site performance, indexability, and overall SEO health. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Paid Search, Affiliates) to align digital initiatives. </li><li>Mentor and guide junior team members on copywriting and SEO best practices. </li><li>Support AEO and LLM initiatives by auditing content, identifying gaps, and recommending optimizations. </li><li>Stay up-to-date on SEO trends, search engine updates, and AI applications in content strategy. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>1+ years of SEO experience, either in-house or agency. </li><li>Have experience writing copy, with an understanding of how to write for both users and search engines at once. </li><li>Experience with SEO and analytics tools, such as Screaming frog/Google Analytics/Adobe/Bright Edge/SEMRush/Conductor/Google Looker Studio/Google Search Console. </li><li>Have a strong understanding of technical SEO. </li><li>Enjoy problem solving and adapting to new technologies and processes. </li><li>Be fluent in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc. </li><li>Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript a plus. </li><li>Eager to learn about new SEO tools and other platforms used with client teams. </li><li>Available to work on-site (office-based) in New York at least 3 days a week </li></ul> <p>This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, benefits include: health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, 401(k), Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, vacation days, sick days, personal days, paid parental leave, paid medical leave, and STD/LTD insurance benefits.</p> <p>Compensation Range</p> <p>$40,000-$75,000 USD</p> <p>This role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office. The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in-office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs.
