<p>The Swim & Dive Head Coach will work to ensure safety, skill development, and progress of each player during the season. The coach will plan, organize, and implement a structured set of workouts/practices as well as monitoring and support of academic development of the student/athletes. The coach reports directly to the Athletic Director and building Principal. This position requires: MIAA Coaches Certification, Prior Playing and Coaching Experience preferred.</p> <p>In addition, all Coaches are expected to:</p> <ul> <li>Organize players for pre-season and post-season meetings. </li><li>Maintain good relations with parents, officials, volunteers and fans. </li><li>Effectively communicate and work with students, administrators, staff, parents, and the community. </li><li>Have a thorough knowledge of the athletic policy at Billerica Public Schools. </li><li>Be a positive role model and motivator, exhibit qualities of leadership and organizational ability. </li><li>Communicate with athletic trainer concerning injuries and student playing status </li><li>Monitor and support student-athletes academic progress. </li><li>Work collaboratively with the booster program.. </li><li>Be Certified in or willing to obtain certification for the following: <strong> <strong>NFHS Course - Fundamental of Coaching </strong></strong>NFHS Course - Concussion Education https://nfhslearn.com/courses/61064/concussion-in-sports ____ First Aid and CPR/AED </li></ul>
