Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the management of medication schedules, ensuring that each resident receives their prescribed medications in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for monitoring residents for any side effects or adverse reactions to medications, providing essential feedback to nursing staff. This position requires a compassionate approach, as you will be interacting with residents daily, fostering a supportive and caring environment. Ultimately, your work will contribute significantly to the overall health and well-being of our residents, enhancing their quality of life.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Administer medications to residents as per physician's orders and facility policies. </li><li>Monitor residents for any side effects or adverse reactions to medications and report findings to nursing staff. </li><li>Maintain accurate medication administration records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. </li><li>Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans for residents. </li><li>Provide education and support to residents and their families regarding medication management. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Current certification as a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) in the state of Indiana. </li><li>Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in long-term care. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Basic knowledge of pharmacology and medication management. </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. </li></ul>
