<p>Overview</p> <p>GFT is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Transportation Team in Philadelphia, PA!</p> <p>Working on the Transportation team at GFT offers the opportunity to engage in transformative projects that enhance transportation infrastructure and improve community connectivity. Explore some of our signature Transportation projects here.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>What you'll be challenged to do:</p> <ul> <li>Analyzes information and data to perform routine design tasks. </li><li>Receives instructions from Project Manager or Senior Project Engineers as to the general results expected. </li><li>Research design options and document findings. </li><li>Responsible as a member of the design team for accuracy of engineering design and plans, quality presentation, thoroughness and follow-through, and efficient conformance to budgets, schedules, and company standards. </li><li>Keeps Project Manager informed of workload and any changes in project schedule or scope or additional services. </li><li>May be asked to participate in non-design engineering activities such as bridge inspection, CADD production, and field data collection. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>What you bring to our firm:</p> <ul> <li>Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering. </li><li>Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions. </li><li>Ethics - Treats people with respect; works with integrity and ethically. </li><li>Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time; ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; arrives at meetings and appointments on time. </li><li>Professionalism - Approaches others in a tactful manner; reacts well under pressure; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; accepts responsibility for own actions; follows through on commitments. </li><li>Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members. </li></ul> <p>At GFT, a privately held AEC firm, we innovate where transportation, water, power, and buildings converge.
