<p>Physical Therapist - Home Health Care - City of Detroit - 24 Hours/Week - Day Shift</p> <p>Location: City of Detroit</p> <p>Schedule: 24 hours per week, Day shift</p> <p>On-Call Requirements: Minimum of one weekend per month, plus one summer holiday and one winter holiday</p> <p>Eligible for part-time benefits</p> <p>GENERAL SUMMARY:</p> <p>Under general supervision of the therapy supervisor implements medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs, (e.g., heat water, exercise, etc.) directed towards relieving pain and/or restoring physical functions to rehabilitative clients.</p> <p>EDUCATION:</p> <p>A specific level of technical knowledge and the applications of various treatment interventions in order to relieve pain and/or restore a physiological function.</p> <ul> <li>This level of knowledge is generally obtained through the completion of an accredited bachelor's level program in Physical Therapy. </li></ul> <p>LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Current State of Michigan Licensure in order to practice as a registered physical therapist. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>The ability to lift and position clients and to perform treatment modalities. </li><li>A high level of interpersonal skill is required to effectively interface with clients and physicians. </li><li>Must possess a current State of Michigan driver's license and satisfactory driving record. </li><li>Must have reliable transportation and a telephone. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <ul> <li>Organization: Community Care Services </li><li>Department: HHC Physical Therapist - OFP </li><li>Shift: Day Job </li><li>Union Code: Not Applicable </li></ul>
