<p>Description</p> <p>Job Purpose:</p> <p>The Materials and Production Planner is responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient availability of raw materials, components, supplies and product planning to support pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. This role works closely with procurement, production, and warehouse teams to optimize inventory levels, prevent material shortages, and maintain compliance with CGMP, FDA, and company regulations.</p> <p><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>__</strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>Material Planning & Inventory Management:</p> <p>Ø Develop and maintain material planning schedules aligned with production requirements.</p> <p>Ø Ensure adequate inventory levels while minimizing excess stock and obsolescence.</p> <p>Ø Coordinate material availability to prevent production delays and optimize workflow.</p> <p>Ø Monitor and track inventory levels, initiating purchase requisitions as needed.</p> <p>Procurement & Supplier Coordination:</p> <p>Ø Work closely with procurement to ensure timely material deliveries.</p> <p>Ø Collaborate on forecasting and lead-time analysis to mitigate supply chain risks.</p> <p>Ø Collaborate with Microbiology, Chemistry, and QA Incoming for raw material and component release.</p> <p>Production Support & Coordination:</p> <p>Ø Liaise with production teams to anticipate and resolve material-related issues and production batch scheduling.</p> <p>Ø Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for proper storage and handling of materials.</p> <p>Ø Ensure accurate material availability prior to product scheduling.</p> <p>Quality & Compliance:</p> <p>Ø Ensure all materials meet CGMP, FDA, and company quality standards before use in production.</p> <p>Ø Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Regulatory teams to address material compliance issues.</p> <p>Ø Maintain accurate documentation, including material specifications and inventory records.</p> <p>Continuous Improvement:</p> <p>Ø Identify and implement process improvements to enhance material and product planning efficiency.</p> <p>Ø Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and supply chain optimization projects.</p> <p>Ø Support cost-reduction efforts by optimizing material usage and procurement strategies.</p> <p>Supplemental Functions:</p> <p>Ø Performs all other duties as assigned or apparent.</p> <p>Job Specifications and Qualifications:</p> <p>Knowledge:</p> <p>Ø Strong understanding of material planning, inventory management, and supply chain principles.</p> <p>Ø Knowledge of CGMP, FDA regulations, and documentation requirements.</p> <p>Ø Experience with ERP/MRP systems and material forecasting tools.</p> <p>Education / Experience:</p> <p>Ø Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field preferred.</p> <p>Ø 3+ years of experience in material planning, procurement, or inventory management in a pharmaceutical or CGMP-regulated environment.</p> <p>Ø Lean Six Sigma, Green Belt preferred.</p> <p>Ø Excel, Microsoft Word, Smartsheets, Microsoft Project experience.</p> <p>Licensing and Certifications:</p> <p>Ø APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) certification preferred.</p> <p>_<strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>____</strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></p> <p>Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:</p> <p>Ø Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.</p> <p>Ø Comfortable with prolonged standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs).</p> <p>Ø Adherence to safety and CGMP regulations, including wearing PPE when required.</p> <p>Ø Salary range: Based on experience.</p> <p>Ø Hours of Work: 8-hr shift work or as needed based on production demand.</p>
