<p>The Referral Specialist is the bridge to specialized care for all ESRH patients. They oversee the scheduling of patients with qualified Medical and Dental specialists and Imaging Facilities. The Referral Specialist works with all insurance companies to ensure insurance referrals and/or authorizations are obtained prior to the patient appointment if required. The Referral Specialist also works with the outreach team if it is determined they can provide a service such as transportation assistance or applying for medical insurance.</p> <ul> <li>Requires a high school diploma or the equivalent. </li><li>A minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office preferred. </li><li>Individual must be professional, self-motivated and have strong attention to detail, communication, teamwork, customer service and computer skills. </li><li>Must demonstrate excellent internal and external customer service skills. </li><li>Must demonstrate personal and professional commitment to the mission of Eastern Shore Rural Health as expressed in the Mission Statement. </li><li>Ability to provide bilingual patient care is a plus. </li></ul>
