<p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Health Insurance </li><li>401K </li><li>6 Paid Holidays </li><li>Cell Phone Plan </li><li>Paid Time Off </li></ul> <p>About the Role</p> <p>American Stone is hiring a full-time Accounting Clerk focused on accounts payable, invoice processing, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including payroll support, reporting tasks, and working with internal financial data and systems.</p> <p>Pay: $15 to $18.50 per hour</p> <p>This role is ideal for someone with 1+ year of accounting or bookkeeping experience who is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working with systems in a fast-paced environment.</p> <p>This is a primarily on-site position based in Murray, UT. Candidates must be local and available to work in-office.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Process accounts payable, including invoices, vendor payments, and purchase orders using Odoo </li><li>Assist with payroll processing, including supporting tax-related tasks (Forms 940, 941, W-2, 1099), deductions, and withholdings </li><li>Enter production and commission data for quarry and sales employees </li><li>Process inter-company billing and transactions </li><li>Maintain DOT compliance documentation, including driver files and logs </li><li>Assist in preparing and maintaining government and compliance reports (payroll taxes, IFTA, sales tax, MSHA, new hire reporting) </li><li>Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations, inventory tracking, and cost reporting </li><li>Communicate with vendors and internal teams to ensure accurate records </li><li>Assist with onboarding paperwork, mail handling, and maintaining compliance records </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Candidates must be willing to provide professional references during the hiring process </li><li>At least 1 year of accounting, bookkeeping, or financial data entry experience </li><li>Experience working with invoices, billing, or financial records </li><li>Basic Excel skills (data entry, sorting, simple formulas) </li><li>Strong attention to detail and organization </li><li>Ability to follow processes and work accurately </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Coursework in accounting, business, or finance </li><li>Experience with accounting systems (QuickBooks, Peachtree, or similar) </li><li>Spanish is a plus </li></ul> <p>Schedule</p> <p>Monday to Friday. 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (schedule may vary slightly based on business needs)</p> <p>About American Stone</p> <p>American Stone is a family-owned company supplying stone products for construction, landscaping, and retail customers.
