<p>Per Diem</p> <p>Under the clinical direction of the Cardiology Coordinator, performs Cardiac Ultrasound and/or Vascular Ultrasound per policy and procedure. Conducts initial patient interview, makes preliminary assessment of test data. Prepares studies for physician interpretation. Works closely with physicians and Cardiology Coordinator to assure accurate and timely test results. The sonographer shall have the ability to provide care to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.</p> <p>na</p> <p>EDUCATION:</p> <p>Minimum:</p> <p>âÃÂâ Completion of training at an AMA approved school in Ultrasound</p> <p>Preferred:</p> <p>âÃÂâ B.S. degree; Registered Specialist (Ultrasound plus one-year additional training at AMA approved program)</p> <p>LICENSE:</p> <p>PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Minimum:</p> <p>âÃÂâ BLS required through the RQI system during clinical orientation</p> <p>âÃÂâ RCS or RDCS credentialed</p> <p>âÃÂâ Registry eligible in cardiac ultrasound</p> <p>WORK EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>Minimum:</p> <p>âÃÂâ Two years of cardiac and/or vascular ultrasound experience</p> <p>Preferred:</p> <p>âÃÂâ Arrhythmia experience</p> <p>SKILLS:</p> <p>Minimum:</p> <p>âÃÂâ Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and couteous manner.</p> <p>âÃÂâ Ability to enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.</p> <p>âÃÂâ Computer literacy required.</p>
