This role is pivotal in ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant closings for a variety of commercial loans. You'll serve as the key liaison between loan officers, attorneys, borrowers, and internal departments - keeping everything on track and in alignment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare loan packages and instruction letters for external counsel; collaborate with bank counsel for finalization </li><li>Order appraisals, environmental reports, collateral searches, and supporting documentation </li><li>Track loan and line expiration dates, collaborating with lenders to ensure proper action is taken </li><li>Manage and monitor all commitment conditions to ensure timely clearance </li><li>Serve as the main point of contact for all parties involved in the closing process </li><li>Prepare and review closing documents, in-house or with closing counsel </li><li>Maintain Excel-based reports to track status, deadlines, and progress </li><li>Provide post-closing support during the transition to Quality Control </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in loan processing or closing, preferably in commercial lending </li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail </li><li>Comfort working with Excel and document systems </li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines </li><li>Excellent communication and coordination skills </li></ul> <p>Location:</p> <p>This position can be based at either our Oswego headquarters or our East Syracuse branch, depending on candidate preference.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Associate's degree in finance, business, or equivalent work experience closing real estate loans </li><li>Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor </li><li>Intermediate computer proficiency (especially with Excel) </li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills </li><li>Basic math skills for loan calculations and document review </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Working knowledge of Federal and State loan compliance regulations </li><li>Familiarity with financial institution products and services </li><li>Prior experience in commercial or real estate loan processing or closing </li></ul>
