Through the Health Care Provider Contract, Calian employs health care professionals across Canada who are integral to supporting the health and wellbeing of our military members.</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>As a Medical Laboratory Technologist with Calian, you will be working in the laboratory at CFB Borden. In this role you will enjoy the benefits of working with an established team of professionals, whose goal is to support the health and wellbeing of the Canadian Armed Forces military service members.</p> <p>This is a temporary full-time role: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4pm with the possibility to be extended.</p> <p>Have questions? Please reach out directly to me at rachel.jacques@calian.com .</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Conduct and document diagnostic procedures with precision and care. </li><li>Interact with patients, provide instructions, and ensure proper specimen collection and integrity. </li><li>Perform venipuncture and operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Education: Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution. </li><li>Professional Memberships: Active membership with the CSMLS and CMLTO. </li><li>Two Years of Full-Time Experience in the Last Five Years: Performing Hematology, Urinalysis, Chemistry, and Phlebotomy. </li><li>Must be comfortable with drawing blood from patients </li><li>Security Requirement: Ability to obtain Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level. </li></ul> <p>This is more than just a job; it's an opportunity to make a real difference.
