<p>This position serves as a Supply Technician at the William S. Middleton VA Medical Center, Madison, WI and is responsible to ensure that adequate supplies are on hand to provide prosthetic equipment to patients.</p> <ul> <li>THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION, YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE DUTY LOCATION* </li></ul> <p>Major duties and responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Verifies that adequate supplies of Prosthetic and Orthotic items are on hand to provide for patient services. </li><li>Recommends stock levels, maintains stock issues and accountability for appliances. </li><li>Receives all incoming stock to inventory system, processes receiving documents for all items received. </li><li>Manages the receipt, distribution, and stock maintenance of items received from the warehouse and from outside vendors. </li><li>Investigates and reconciles routine and recurring discrepancies relating to actions such as receipt control, stock control, reorder points and inventory adjustments. </li><li>Assembles some of the durable medical equipment such as walkers. </li><li>Maximizes storage space available, and ensures that all work areas are clear of debris for easy flow of stock. </li><li>Maintains all inventory barcode label levels in order to maintain consistent label to stock ratio. </li><li>Delivers supplies to other clinic locations in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring supplies and materials deliveries are in sterile and operational condition. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30am- 4:00pm</p> <p>Recruitment & Relocation Incentives: Not authorized</p> <p>Critical Skills Incentive (CSI): Not approved</p>
