<p>Salary Range: $20.01 - $27.55 (10 Steps)</p> <p>Qualifications required: The successful candidate shall possess the following skills to perform the essential functions of the job.</p> <ul> <li>Some advanced training in business/office management is desirable. </li><li>Proficiency in reading, math, oral and written communication. </li><li>Working knowledge of the current computer hardware and software used in the Mentor Exempted Village School District's school offices and/or administrative offices. </li><li>Secretary I, II requirements: Must pass the Secretary Basic Skills Test, proficiency in data base, basic Excel, mail merge, job related district software, tables, and proficiency in reports. </li><li>Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions and Duties: Preference will be given to the individual who can demonstrate the following.</p> <ul> <li>Perform specific duties as determined by the immediate supervisor or administrator according to assignment and level (i.e., specific expectations for Secretary I, II, III, IV, V). </li><li>Must be able to obtain, gather, and organize pertinent data as needed and put into a usable form utilizing computer hardware/software as determined according to the assignment and duties associated with that assignment. </li><li>Possess strong interpersonal skills while working with parents and staff in a positive public relations mode, including using proper telephone etiquette. </li><li>Perform any bookkeeping tasks associated with the specific school or </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned which reasonably relate to the general scope of the job description. </li></ul> <p>Education: High School Diploma</p> <p>All applicants must apply on line through the Human Resources link @www.mentorschools.net.</p> <p>In complying with the Americans w$27.55ith Disabilities Act, please inform us of any special needs you have so that we may make it possible for you to participate in the application for employment process.
