The Exercise Physiologist's primary job function is to promote wellness by instructing, demonstrating, and supervising clients/patients in all related areas of exercise and rehabilitation. Performs other duties as assigned.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam Required </li><li>Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology/Exercise Science required </li><li>Master's Degree in Exercise Science preferred </li></ul> <p>Licensure:</p> <ul> <li>BLS within 90 days of hire required </li><li>ACLS within 1 year of hire required </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Completion of internship or six months job related work required. </li></ul> <p>JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS</p> <p>The following is a summary of the major job duties of this job. Specific activities may change from time to time.</p> <ul> <li>Assists in clinical operations in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation. </li><li>Conducts exercise/fitness evaluations, exercise prescriptions and target heart rates. </li><li>Orients Cardiopulmonary rehab graduates who become a phase III member to exercise programs and equipment. </li><li>Facilitates/provides patient and family teaching using appropriate teaching strategies. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li><li>Oversees and assist Cardiopulmonary Rehab Phase III. </li><li>Participates in discharge planning process. </li></ul> <p>Thank you for your interest in Southern Ohio Medical Center.
