<p>Job Type: Regular</p> <p>Time Type: Part time</p> <p>Work Shift: Day (United States of America)</p> <p>FLSA Status: Non-Exempt</p> <p>When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you're making a difference in people's lives.</p> <p>8-hr shifts (8a-4:30p OR 9a-5:30p); Mon- Friday</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Duties/Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Observes and respects the personal privacy and confidentiality of information with regard to patients, physicians and co-workers. </li><li>Addresses patients in a courteous and respectful manner. </li><li>Assists patients as needed with ADL in dressing or undressing and secures and labels belongings </li><li>Takes and records vital signs on arrival to the department. </li><li>Supports departmental activity to provide efficient patient care. </li><li>Takes direction from the Charge Nurse in order to prioritize workload and focus. </li><li>Consistently complies with hospital policies and procedures for infection control and hazard communication standard including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment. </li><li>Identifies and transports patients safely within the hospital </li><li>Properly performs cubicle and stretcher turnover using established cleaning procedures. </li><li>Handles all noninfectious and contaminated waste according to policy. </li><li>Demonstrates ability to handle contaminated and clean scopes as directed </li><li>Cross trained to process scopes </li><li>Stocks and/or assists with stocking all departmental cabinets and warming cabinet. </li><li>Performs errand services to other hospital departments. </li><li>Empties soiled linen and trash receptacles frequently and as needed. </li><li>Monitors, cleans, and restocks patient and staff bathrooms as needed. </li><li>Cleans and defrosts refrigerator according to schedule. </li><li>Assists with delivering of stat specimens to the lab or pathology. </li><li>Retrieves blood or blood products from the blood bank. </li><li>Transports blood products in a timely manner according to policy. </li><li>Retrieves fecal transplant material as directed noting the number left in supply and expiration dates. </li><li>Enters requisitions for repair of broken equipment. </li><li>Demonstrates ability to function during urgent and emergent situations. </li><li>Assists with answering the phone, transporting of patients, assistance with family members, tidying the waiting room, preparing charts, etc. </li><li>Cross train to front desk to answer phones. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>It is understood that this is a summary of key job functions and does not include every detail of the job that may reasonably be required.</p> <p>Education/Experience Required:</p> <ul> <li>HS Diploma </li><li>Certified Nursing Assistant or medical assistant certificate required </li><li>Ability to work in an endoscopy environment. </li><li>Ability to work at a quick pace with minimal supervision. </li></ul> <p>Registration/Certification:</p> <ul> <li>AHA BLS </li></ul> <p>As a health care organization, we have a responsibility to do everything in our power to care for and protect our patients, our colleagues and our communities.
