<p>SUMMARY</p> <p>The Valet Supervisor assists in overseeing the day-to-day operations of Valet including daily staffing, wait times, Porte management, job and assignments to ensure quality and guest satisfaction. Valet Supervisors will also assist when needed in scheduling, training, and guest service. The Valet Supervisor will be responsible for upholding Grand Sierra Resort's high service standard through the training and professional development of all Team Members.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Oversight of the Porte and Valet operations to ensure and provide exceptional guest service and limit wait times for our guests.</p> </li><li> <p>Supervisors may pick or park a car, but this is not a primary duty and should only be one when waiting times exceed 20 minutes or the line to park is significantly out of the Porte (more than halfway down the ramp)</p> </li><li> <p>Pre-shift teams daily on upcoming events, vital information and any other important details for the team to work effectively.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be visible in the Porte and able to assist and defuse any guest escalations</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure guests are receiving timely service via managing of staff into proper roles and rotating them as needed to ensure the operations run smoothly and there are no barriers to providing excellent guest service.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists the Front Services Manager and Lead Supervisor with scheduling and training.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure the drive lanes and crosswalks are clean of debris or unauthorized vehicles.</p> </li><li> <p>Reporting any fixes, areas of attention, outages, breakages, and/or less than optimal working conditions to the appropriate parties to ensure they are fixed in a timely manner; follow up as necessary.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure CVPS car tracking system is kept up to date and cars are entered properly.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure Team Members go on appropriate breaks and early outs are managed to maintain sufficient staff to handle upcoming business.</p> </li><li> <p>Able to provide guests with information regarding property facilities, amenities, services, special events, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor and direct personal and commercial vehicle traffic on property, including guest vehicles, taxi cabs, limousines, buses and rideshare.</p> </li><li> <p>Document and report all vehicle incidents such as damage, accidents, theft, missing articles etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Report any accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the Lead Supervisor and/or Front Services Manager immediately.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor and maintain safety, security, and cleanliness of parking areas, Porte and in the key booth.</p> </li><li> <p>Act in capacity of Valet Runner at any time, only as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.</p> </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability of simple math and complex reading, writing, and task completion skills is required.</p> </li><li> <p>Must have the following skills: clerical, compiling, coordination, analyzing, supervising, instructing, driving, precision working, following instructions, influencing others, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making.</p> </li><li> <p>Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.</p> </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 1-2 years' Valet experience or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. </li></ul> <p>CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must obtain and maintain appropriate licensing with Alcohol Awareness Card</p> </li><li> <p>Valid driver's license and must produce acceptable driving record per GSR SOP. 10 Year Repot from DMV with annual review.</p> </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <ul> <li> <p>While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly standing, walking, frequently reaching overhead, and occasionally sitting, bending over, crouching, kneeling, and balancing during over the duration of their shift.</p> </li><li> <p>Team member will have to frequently push/pull and/or lift/carry 75lbs or less.</p> </li><li> <p>Driving will constantly be required.</p> </li><li> <p>The team member will constantly have repetitive use of both feet and frequent repetitive use of both hands.</p> </li><li> <p>Frequent light and firm/strong grasping motions and finger dexterity of both hands will be required.</p> </li><li> <p>Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.</p> </li><li> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> </li></ul> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT</p> <ul> <li> <p>Work performed indoors and outdoors, alone and frequently with and around others.</p> </li><li> <p>Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others around computer equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud or quiet at times.</p> </li><li> <p>Team Member may be exposed to extreme heat, extreme cold, wet and/or humid conditions, confined areas, moving objects, slippery surfaces, dirt/dust, fumes/odors, and secondhand smoke.</p> </li><li> <p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> </li></ul>
