<p>American Indian Education Program Coordinator JobID: 7378</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Program Assistants</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>8/7/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Districtwide</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>04/26/2024</p> <p>  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>POSITION AVAILABLE</p> <p>American Indian Education Program Coordinator</p> <p>District-Wide</p> <p>Salary and benefits based on the 2024-25 Terms and Conditions for Program Assistants, Level 8</p> <p>$29.69 to $38.24 per hour, plus benefits</p> <p>210-day per year work calendar</p> <p>Eight hours of paid time and 30 minutes of unpaid lunch time per day</p> <p>Reports to Director of Achievement and Integration</p> <p>PRIMARY FUNCTION</p> <p>Under the general supervision of the Director of Achievement and Integration, the American Indian Education Coordinator provides leadership to the Robbinsdale Area Schools American Indian Education Program in collaboration with the Achievement and Integration to increase student achievement and engagement. This includes implementing programming, federal and state reporting, seeking and managing grant funding, building and maintaining stakeholder relationships including our American Indian Parent Advisory Committee (AIPAC) and the Tribal Nations Education Committee (TNEC).</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate activities that support, enhance and strengthen the cultural identity, using culturally relevant materials and curriculum </li><li>Collaborate with district wide administrators and staff to support the needs of American Indian students, and families with home visits </li><li>Serve as a liaison for American Indian Staff, AIPAC members, district/school administration, and related entities such as TNEC </li><li>Collaborate with Achievement and Integration Director and Assistant Director to ensure compliance with grant applications, needs assessments, surveys, and annual reporting requirements </li><li>Assist with the implementation of grant requirements that include measurable goals and activities aligned with the annual Indian Education applications </li><li>Support the director with the preparation and facilitation of AIPAC meetings, and TNEC consultations </li><li>Under the direction of department leaders, help develop and coordinate district-wide American Indian Education program schedule of events, activities </li><li>Partner with district administration and Indian Education team in addressing student achievement, family engagement, including support of academic, SEL, and cultural needs </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in education, behavioral sciences, social work, or related field required. </li><li>Knowledge of state and federal laws relative to American Indians </li><li>Experience with grant compliance, accountability reporting, budgeting, and implementation at the federal, state, and local level </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills and social-emotional learning skills, with the ability to build relationships and work with individuals, teams, and groups </li><li>Experience with Indian Education programs, as well as American Indian culture and heritage </li><li>Available for flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends </li><li>Must have reliable transportation to travel between sites as necessary </li></ul> <p>Hiring Preference for this Position: In accordance with federal law (Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended) and Minnesota Statutes, preference will be given to qualified American Indian candidates for this position.</p> <p>APPLICATION PROCEDURE</p> <p>Apply on-line at http://www.applitrack.com/rdale/onlineapp/</p> <p>Anh Tran</p> <p>Human Resources Program Assistant</p> <p>4148 Winnetka Avenue North</p> <p>New Hope, MN 55427</p> <p>POSTING OPEN UNTIL FILLED</p> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer</p> <p>Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they believe they meet every one of the qualifications as described in a job description.</p> <p>We are most interested in finding the best candidate for the job, and that candidate may be one who comes from a less traditional background.
