<p>Job Description:</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li>Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements. </li><li>Implement individualized treatment outlined in the student's individualized Behavior Treatment Plan developed and overseen by BCBA </li><li>Follow the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols and review daily supervision notes/recommendations. RBT's are responsible for documenting all outcomes on designated data sheets and/or digital platforms with ACE software </li><li>Utilize safe & appropriate procedures when interacting with students as prescribed by Safety Care Behavioral Safety Training </li><li>Consistently utilizing principles of reinforcement for increasing targeted skills for increase and decrease throughout student's day </li><li>Maintain student confidentiality </li><li>Assist teachers, clinical staff, and paraprofessionals in developing, monitoring, and/or implementing skill acquisition and behavior reduction assessments </li><li>Assist the Teacher, Behavior Analysts, paraprofessionals and other clinical staff in preparing student materials as instructed </li><li>Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment </li><li>Assist the teacher with maintaining and monitoring classroom responsibilities as directed </li><li>Daily data collection and graphing of all required data as directed by teacher, BCBA and/or other clinical staff </li><li>Assist BCBA in conducting various functional assessment methodologies, including, but not limited to descriptive and analogue functional assessments </li><li>Attend regular supervision meetings with assigned BCBA clinical supervisor and effectively respond to feedback </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to accept constructive feedback and develop knowledge and skill sets accordingly </li><li>Effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors, and community members </li><li>Ability to adhere to organizational policies and procedures and abide by code of ethics as indicated by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) </li><li>Commitment to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA laws </li><li>Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to clinical skills, professional development, ethics, and technology, and training in order to perform job responsibilities to required standard </li><li>Ability to interpret and implement clinical protocols and written </li><li>Must maintain a professional appearance per River Street School/CREC Policy </li></ul> <p>BASIC & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds </li><li>Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, , sitting, standing) for extended periods of time. </li><li>Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time. </li><li>Once certified, must be willing and able to restrain/hold/transport and utilize your Safety Care Procedures. </li></ul> <p>REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma (Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Speech and Hearing Services, or related field) </li><li>Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification and ongoing maintenance of RBT certification (i.e., adequate adherence to supervision and professional and ethical conduct requirements of the BACB) </li></ul> <p>EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>Required: Several years working in the field of Developmental Disabilities/Human Services </li><li>Preferred: Experience working with school aged children/young adults in a classroom or 1:1 setting; experience implementing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis; Educational, Speech, or Allied Health Services experience </li></ul> <p>RELATED TRAINING:</p> <p>Responsible for completing and maintaining all required certifications and trainings included, but not limited to: Annual Safety Care, CPR, RBT continuing education and other related trainings, and other in-services and trainings as directed by supervisor.</p> <p>To access the job description and salary range please click https://www.crec.org/careers/jobs.php.</p> <p>Job ID 13725@ CREC: External Job Opportunities | Careers | Hartford, Connecticut</p>
