<p>Overview</p> <p>The Dispatcher/Alarm Monitor monitors the CCTV and intrusion, fire, and duress alarms and early warning systems.</p> <ul> <li>This position is continget upon contract award* </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Answer public and police calls for assistance in emergency and non-emergency situations on the telephone and radio. </li><li>Oversee control and issuance of keys from communications center. </li><li>Provides security for assigned work area and equipment. </li><li>Relay information to/from police or security supervisors, takes messages, and obtains clear and accurate information & relays to all pertinent personnel. </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Minimum High School Diploma or GED. </li><li>Must be at least 21 years of age. </li><li>Certified to perform the duties and meet the minimum standards established by the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) Institute Emergency Telecommunication. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment. </li><li>Ability to interact and communicate with people over the telephone, often in stressful situations. </li><li>Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook. </li><li>Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license. </li><li>Must speak, read, write, and understand the English language, apply written rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training material. </li></ul> <p>Estimated Salary/Wage</p> <p>USD $20.00/Hr.</p>
