This role will be responsible for assembling parts, installing process piping and servicing equipment like motors, blowers and pumps.</p> <p>This position reports to the Senior Manager - Engineering and is part of the Engineering located in Torrance, California and will be an on-site role.</p> <p>In this role, you will have the opportunity to:</p> <ul> <li>Trouble shoot and correct equipment issues as they occur. Set up and change over equipment to achieve maximum efficiency during production. </li><li>Perform routine and non-routine preventive maintenance as needed or identified. </li><li>Maintain all maintenance documents in accordance with plant quality and safety requirements. </li></ul> <p>The essential requirements of the job include:</p> <ul> <li>2+ years as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment, preferable from the Pharmaceutical, Beverage or Food industry </li><li>Strong background and knowledge in mechanical, pneumatics, and pump repair </li><li>Knowledge of sanitary design for processing and packaging for the pharmaceutical industry </li></ul> <p>It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:</p> <ul> <li>Working on manufacturing relates projects involving piping, equipment repair and maintenance. </li></ul> <p>Phenomenex, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
