The company fosters a dynamic, inclusive work environment where employees are equipped with the tools, training, and support they need to thrive and succeed.</p> <p>Why Work for Fairweather</p> <ul> <li> <p>Competitive Compensation & Benefits: Industry-aligned pay and a robust benefits package.</p> </li><li> <p>Supportive Culture: Team-oriented environment focused on collaboration and mutual success.</p> </li><li> <p>Career Development: Opportunities for training, advancement, and professional growth.</p> </li><li> <p>Safety Commitment: Strong focus on employee well-being and workplace safety.</p> </li></ul> <p>Total Rewards & Benefits</p> <ul> <li> <p>Medical Coverage: Comprehensive Federal Employee Health Benefits (FEHB), including medical, dental, and vision plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Retirement Savings: 401(k) retirement plan with up to 4% company match.</p> </li><li> <p>Insurance Protection: Includes short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, and optional supplemental coverage.</p> </li><li> <p>Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Access to free counseling and support resources.</p> </li><li> <p>Paid Holidays: Observance of all major federal holidays.</p> </li><li> <p>Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs): Options for health and dependent care expenses.</p> </li></ul> <p>JOB DESCRIPTION</p> <p>Primary Functions/Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Lead by example in our Incident Free Culture. </li><li>Work 2x2 week rotation, while on shift on call for all emergencies. </li><li>Responsible for coordinating and the safe execution of the emergency response training program that includes, but is not limited to, the following areas. </li><li>Fire Department Operations </li><li>Facility Emergencies </li><li>Structural Fire Suppression and related activities </li><li>Aircraft Emergencies </li><li>Technical rescue practices </li><li>State of Alaska Firefighter I program. </li><li>Company level fire officer training </li><li>Medical emergency response </li><li>Haz-Mat Operations </li><li>Oversee and coordinate the operational readiness of all fire apparatus, tools, and support equipment. </li><li>Teach and coordinate Respiratory Inspection and Fire Extinguisher training classes. </li><li>Responsible for oversight of the respiratory service and maintenance program. </li><li>Participate in all emergency and non-emergency operations for the Fire Department and Rescue Team </li><li>Assumes the On-Scene Commander role for spill or hazardous materials events in the absence of the Emergency Services Chief. </li><li>Critical staff for NS wide Spill Response </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Job Qualifications:</p> <p>Basic Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Legally authorized to work in the United States </li><li>Current, valid driver's license </li><li>Associate's degree in fire/EMS related field or equivalent </li><li>State of Alaska certified EMT II or higher level of licensing designation (or ability to obtain reciprocity) </li><li>Certified Firefighter I or higher (IFSAC/Pro Board) </li><li>3 + years of experience leading and motivating emergency response volunteers. </li><li>Minimum 5 + years of experience with EMS practices, safety requirements and best practices, the incident command system, NIMS, Emergency equipment, and training methods </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>7+ years of progressively responsible fire and EMS service experience </li><li>Bachelor's degree in fire, emergency management, EMS, or related field </li><li>Certified Fire Service Instructor I or higher (IFSAC/Pro Board) </li><li>Experience working with a career/volunteer combination department. </li><li>EMS patient care and transport experience with Paramedic preferred. </li><li>Training program developed and evaluation, assessment, planning strategies, and achieving performance results. </li><li>Certified Incident Safety Officer </li><li>Possess a "passion" for training with education, certification, and instructional credentials that demonstrate this. </li><li>Demonstrated skills to maintain and present all manner of data, records, and reports. </li><li>Takes accountability for actions and follows through on commitments. </li><li>Actively communicates and takes time to safely perform work to protect our people and environment. </li><li>Mentors, coaches and develops others to bring out their full potential. </li><li>Build positive relationships across organizations that foster a strong work environment. </li></ul> <p>Key Interfaces:</p> <ul> <li>North Slope Emergency Response Team Members </li><li>North Slope Operations Leadership Team </li><li>Alaska HSE Leadership Team </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities UNAVAILABLE Qualifications UNAVAILABLE</p>
