Your contributions will drive significant business impact as you apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle diverse challenges across multiple technologies and applications.</p> <p>Job responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Develops and implements standards and best practices for platform engineering, deployment, and production observability across a broad range of applications within the organization. </li><li>Collaborates with SRE, DevOps, architects, engineering directors, and senior application engineers to integrate business and technology requirements into platform engineering and deployment strategies. </li><li>Provides regular technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors </li><li>Drives the adoption of best practices, ensuring high standards of quality, security, and efficiency are maintained across all projects. </li><li>Develops tools and practices for ensuring adherence to application standards and approaches. </li><li>Creates and manages POCs to evaluate the feasibility and impact of new technologies and methodologies, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements. </li><li>Leads initiatives to enhance production observability by integrating advanced monitoring and logging solutions into existing and new products. </li><li>Explores and develops strategies for implementing cutting-edge platform engineering technologies across the organization, ensuring alignment with the firm's long-term objectives. </li><li>Advises cross-functional teams on matters within the domain of expertise. </li><li>Creates durable, reusable tools that are leveraged across teams and functions. </li><li>Influences leaders and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams </li><li>Contributes to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect. </li></ul> <p>Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills</p> <ul> <li>Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience, including platform engineering, deployment, and observability. </li><li>Hands-on experience building and maintaining observability tools </li><li>Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability </li><li>Expertise in Splunk, Tableau, and related tools </li><li>Strong skillset in AI, particularly in enhancing production observability processes. </li><li>Advanced knowledge of software application development and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in multiple technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, Web UI, etc.). </li><li>Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex technology problems in one or more technical disciplines </li><li>Experience with cloud technologies and their integration into platform engineering and production observability processes. </li><li>Ability to present and effectively communicate with Senior Leaders and Executives. </li><li>Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight </li><li>Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field. </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills</p> <ul> <li>Architecture and/or application development experience </li><li>AWS experience </li></ul>
