<p>The Refrigeration Equipment Mechanic Foreman will be responsible for all of the duties listed, but not limited to the following below: install, maintain, and repair heating, central air conditioning, or refrigeration systems, hot-air furnaces; performs skilled mechanical work in overhauling and repairing refrigeration and cooling equipment. The Refrigeration Foreman is responsible for ensuring that all safety procedures are followed: trains new employees, plans and issues work schedules, discipline procedures, completes daily time sheets, maintains overtime records and requisitions, orders material and distributes supplies and equipment. The Refrigeration Equipment Mechanic Foreman will directly supervise and coordinate activities of Sub-Foreman and tradesmen staff and schedule assignments. If needed the Refrigeration Foreman will work with the trade staff to accomplish tasks. The Refrigeration Equipment Mechanic Foreman is responsible for developing, documenting, and execute a preventative maintenance schedule for building equipment and components. Along with duties inherent in the supervision of employees, the Refrigeration Equipment Mechanic Foreman may work directly with the public and is expected to facilitate a professional relationship. Work is performed in accordance with standard trade practices.</p> <p>Required Tasks</p> <ul> <li>Supervise, plan, schedule & assign work for Skilled Refrigeration Mechanics under general direction of General Trades Foreman </li><li>Perform tasks normally performed by Refrigeration Mechanics, and interact and coordinate work with other Tradesmen </li><li>Inspect work in progress and upon completion, and troubleshoot malfunctions and defects in refrigeration and cooling systems </li><li>Maintain routine records & reports such as Work Orders, Mileage, Daily Time Sheets & Time Off Requests for Skilled Refrigeration Mechanics </li><li>Maintain and repair gas unit heaters & boilers; inspect and replace gas valves on boilers, and sets and controls gas pressure on boilers </li><li>Maintain and repair exhaust fans, air compressors, pumps & other apparatus, and balance, adjust and set controls such as expansion refrigeration & cooling systems </li><li>Operate refrigeration mechanic tools such as latches, drill presses & pipe cutters, and read and interpret blueprints and diagrams </li><li>Remove air from systems and charges systems with specified amount and type of refrigerant </li><li>Oversee & perform service and repair of electrical units on refrigeration and cooling systems </li><li>Train & instruct employees relating to maintenance on all refrigeration & cooling systems, gas unit heaters and boilers </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Educational Requirements</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>Completion of Apprenticeship Program </li><li>Refrigeration and Boiler License </li></ul> <p>Experience Requirements</p> <ul> <li>At least five (5) years of full-time paid experience as a Licensed Refrigeration Equipment Mechanic. </li><li>THIS IS A SECOND SHIFT POSITION. MONDAY-FRIDAY </li><li>2nd Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm </li></ul>
