<p>As the Sr. Financial Analyst, Marketing on AutoZone's Marketing Control team, you will be responsible for maintaining the DAP Advertising budget and ensuring financial statement accuracy. You will work closely with Marketing directors to review their respective budget sheets on a periodic and ad hoc basis and will be responsible for Advertising and Marketing Overhead forecasting and reporting.</p> <ul> <li>Cross-Functional Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with teams across Marketing, Finance, Merchandising, and Operations to support the development of annual budgets and rolling forecasts. </li><li>Advanced Journal Entries: Prepare and review complex journal entries using strong accounting knowledge and data analysis skills to ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies. </li><li>Account Reconciliation & Compliance: Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations and analyze account activity to maintain accuracy and uphold financial standards. </li><li>Ad Hoc Analysis & Communication: Conduct data-driven analyses as needed, clearly communicating insights to inform and educate both internal and external stakeholders. </li><li>Finance Process Development: Create and update process documentation and training programs that support team development and consistency. </li><li>Team Collaboration & Continuity: Cross-train with team members to ensure seamless operations and provide support on additional tasks as assigned. </li><li>Education & Experience: You hold a bachelor's degree in accounting and have a minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or a related finance field. A master's degree in accounting or related field, CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA designation is preferred. </li><li>Technical Proficiency: You possess advanced Excel skills and a strong command of accounting principles to support data analysis and financial reporting. Experience in SAP is preferred. </li><li>Analytical & Problem Solving: You demonstrate the ability to research, analyze, and resolve complex financial issues with accuracy and insight. </li><li>Communication & Collaboration: You have strong written communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with cross-functional teams. </li><li>Work Ethic & Initiative: You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and contributing. </li><li>Curiosity & Growth Mindset: You are naturally inquisitive and eager to expand knowledge in financial systems and processes. </li></ul>
