Come join us make a significant difference in the lives of patients!</p> <p>About the Position:</p> <p>The Computational Biochemistry Intern will work on specific projects such as:</p> <ul> <li>Protein isoform analysis from a sequence and structure perspective </li><li>Validation of predictions using internal and external datasets </li><li>Literature analysis of protein comparators from crystallographic sources </li><li>Prediction validation and analysis of closely related motifs </li></ul> <p>Essential Job Duties and Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Assist in the design and execution of in silico experiments </li><li>Analyze data using scientific software </li><li>Conduct literature reviews </li><li>Participate in team meetings and present findings </li></ul> <p>Required Education, Experience and Skills:</p> <ul> <li> <p>General</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with protein modeling software like AlphaFold2 or RoseTTAFold</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with proteomic sequence analysis and interpretation.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong organizational and communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</p> </li><li> <p>Specific education requirements</p> </li><li> <p>Course work: biology, physiology, anatomy, chemistry -or- biomedical engineering</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Basic understanding of muscle biology.</p> </li><li> <p>Docking simulation work</p> </li><li> <p>Foldseek, Fragfold experience</p> </li><li> <p>Desired qualifications of the student intern</p> </li><li> <p>Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in biology, physiology, pharmacology, biomedical science, or related field</p> </li><li> <p>Basic understanding of biology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, or biomedical science</p> </li></ul> <p>Salary range: $20/hour; internship runs for 8-10 weeks</p> <p>There is no deadline because the employer accepts applications on an ongoing basis.</p> <p>Edgewise does not accept resumes from recruitment agencies for this position.
