<p>Apply</p> <p>Job Type</p> <p>Full-time</p> <p>Description</p> <p>Job Title: MAT Assistant Coordinator / MA</p> <p>Reports to: MAT Supervisor</p> <p>Schedule: Monday to Friday-40 hr work week</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>This a blended position where the MAT coordinator will primarily manage Medically Assisted Treatment responsibilities as well as assist with clinic prior-authorizations and occasional MA float coverage.</p> <p>The MAT Assistant Coordinator's primary responsibility is to support the MAT program and care team members while building and maintaining positive and professional relationships with patients. The MAT Assistant Coordinator performs a variety of organizational tasks between all sites at MCHC to keep everyone involved informed and compliant with current regulations. The MAT Assistant Coordinator contributes to the overall success of the MAT program to help members of the community become successful in their treatment.</p> <p>Job Qualifications</p> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Two (2) years' experience as a Medical Assistant or related role. </li><li>Experience working with Addiction Treatment preferred </li><li>Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred. </li><li>Licenses/Certifications/Requirements: </li><li>High School diploma or GED </li><li>Medical Assistant certification with completion of externship hours preferred. </li><li>Non-certified applicants with equivalent education (CNA, EMT, phlebotomy, etc) or greater than 1 year of MA experience will be considered. (Salary commensurate with experience/education). </li><li>Current Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required </li><li>Proof of current immunizations will be requested upon hire </li><li>Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills. </li><li>Ability to identify, prioritize and complete tasks with limited supervision. </li><li>Reliable transportation. Frequent travel to other sites for MAT activities and cross-coverage </li><li>Basic computer skills. Experience with EMR documentation a plus. </li></ul> <p>Essential Duties/Responsibilities</p> <p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate patient care activities by scheduling appointments, coordinating Behavioral Health Therapy, field crisis calls to on-call provider or to MAT Coordinator, and ensure patients are receiving and taking their prescriptions as prescribed. </li><li>Act as a Liaison between county, state, and private programs such as Foothill and Wasatch Behavioral Health. </li><li>Monitor the MAT logs and Athena reports to ensure they are up to date and accurate. This will include assisting in reporting accurate numbers to the Director of Operations for reporting purposes. </li><li>Visit each site that provides MAT services monthly to ensure accurate logs and medication counts and supplies. This includes ordering medications and MAT supplies such as urine toxicity drug screen cups, breathalyzer tubes, and Narcan kits. </li><li>Review and update MAT policies and procedures along with the MAT Supervisor and Director of Operations. Communicate the changes and ensure procedure coherence among all sites and staff. </li><li>Conduct monthly MAT meetings by creating an agenda and addressing any current changes in regulations, procedures, patient statuses, new expectations, reviewing MAT numbers, and more as needed. </li><li>Meet with MAT champions on a regular basis to ensure they are following procedures and address any questions or concerns they may have. Meet with MAT Coordinator and Director of Operations at least monthly to clarify any questions and to update them on the program. </li><li>Communicate with patients and patient family members or friends during office hours, as needed, to ensure they are receiving the support they need to be successful in the program. Uses motivational interviewing to support the patients in needs MCHC can provide. </li><li>Keep MAT providers informed of any communications with patients through verbal conversation or patient cases. It is imperative that the MAT Assistant Coordinator acts as a member of the care team by having excellent communication with anyone involved in the patient care. </li><li>Address prior-authorizations for some MCHC clinics </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li><li>Perform MA duties as required and float to any Utah County clinical site when needed. </li></ul> <p>Working Environment and Physical Activities</p> <p>Mountainlands Community Health Center's mission is to provide affordable, high quality primary health care to everyone in our community, including those who are uninsured, have low-income, or face other barriers to care.
