<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Are you an experienced professional looking for new opportunities to further your career? The South Carolina Office of Resilience is seeking a hardworking and dependable candidate just like you to apply! This position will offer great benefits with the state, including 15 days of annual and sick leave per year or more depending on applicable state service.</p> <p>Under minimal supervision, incumbent performs residential home warranty administrative duties that require a high degree of technical/professional knowledge and exercises excellent judgement. Other job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement warranty policies, procedures, and programs to ensure citizen satisfaction and compliance with all legal and agency requirements. </li><li>Oversee the processing of warranty claims, investigate and resolve issues in a timely manner, and handle disputes. </li><li>Analyze warranty data to identify trends and failure rates, then work with implementing contractors and general contractors to drive corrective actions and product improvements. </li><li>Prepare regular reports on warranty performance and metrics for management and act as a liaison with internal stakeholders and external partners, including citizens, VOADs, and regulatory agencies. </li><li>Supervise and Oversee efforts to detect and prevent instances of fraud, waste, and abuse in the implementation of SCOR construction and grant programs. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned/needed. </li></ul> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>A high school diploma and relevant program experience.</p> <p>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures relevant to Disaster Recovery. </li><li>Ability to exercise judgment and discretion. </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. </li><li>Position requires full range of physical abilities essential for moving about construction sites safely and in various types of weather to conduct inspections. </li></ul> <p>Applicants indicating college credit or degree(s) on the application will be required to bring a copy of college transcript to the interview. A copy of the transcript may also be uploaded as an attachment to the application, if required by the hiring department or if desired by the applicant. Please note that some areas of the Agency may require an official, certified copy of the transcript prior to hiring or within a specific timeframe required by that area, after hiring.
